I’m also the hobbyist and creator behind the scenes at StockMyTank - The Aquarium Marketplace.Īlso - we’ve got a fantastic FB group going which I plan to fill with even MORE aquarium deals and discounts so if you haven’t joined already, come say hi! My name is Nat and I’m a Texas-based aquarium enthusiast who has kept a little bit of everything across my 15+ years in the hobby (freshwater, saltwater, and now TWO ponds? □). If you are NEW to the newsletter… (Skip to the bottom if you are already subscribed!) Without further ado, please enjoy this year’s roundup of the BEST Black Friday Aquarium deals on the internet. While this newsletter doesn’t get written very consistently, when I do write, I try to provide as much value as possible by delivering the best aquarium-related finds I’ve discovered from across the web - articles, videos, deals on equipment and livestock, and more. It works with the Kasa iPhone app which I also use to set lighting schedules for many of my aquarium lights.Īnd if you are new to the newsletter (or wondering why you are receiving it), it is likely because you shopped on our site, StockMyTank, at some point in the last year (and thank you for that!). Here is the camera I ordered in case you are curious. Whether it’s a security camera, baby monitor or pet cam, there are tons of options on the market to have a stress free holiday season away from your tanks. If you are a “set it and forget it” type that puts your full faith and trust into automatic feeders while you travel, a quick trip to might bring you a little more peace of mind. Since the holidays involve quite a bit of travel for me, I’m investing in items like an HD security camera to keep an eye on the tanks while I’m out of town. So what’s on your Christmas *fish* list this year? What would you sleep in a tent for? I would, however, * definitely * line up at 3:00AM somewhere for 50% off rimless UNS aquariums if that were a thing. I've been an automotive tech/designer for over 20 years and have learned that when you understand how the system works, then you have a hope of diagnosing it.But who wants to spend it waiting in line for an overpriced TV at Walmart? Not I. The wire terminal at the battery gives power to ECU/start solenoid (simply speaking) when signal goes thru solenoid it closes high load contacts and gives starter power. ![]() Yes the signal wires need to be connected one is signal from start button (well from computer, start button then becomes RER) the other is ground. I used this method to start my sled the rest of the weekend.ĮDIT: guess you've figured it out, lol. I went in to tap the starter and the magnet on the end caused the bendix to extend and starter engaged. ![]() If it still doesn't engage then try to hold the starer button and use something to tap the bendix of the starter (do not hit the body of starter or you can crack the magnets inside and permanently damage it) I had this issue and was using a flash light with a decent strong magnet on the end. If starter engages then you know you have a switch/signal or solenoid problem. This basically puts power direct to starter and removes and switch/signal wire issues. Two things you can try to rule out what's causing the issue, using a relative heavy gauge wire (or screwdriver if you don't care about arcing) and bridge the two large terminals on the solenoid. Trust me when I say I've seen a fuse that looked good but was not able to carry any load. Before anything else, just replace both those fuses above the battery.
